2017

  • Nyle Kelly becomes General Manager of Brookstreet Hotel & The Marshes Golf Club.  Nyle joined Brookstreet in April 2003, two months prior to the hotel's opening. He was quickly promoted to Director of Guest Services followed by Director of Operations. He was named the hotel's Assistant General Manager in 2016 before taking over as General Manager from Patrice S. Basille
  • Both Brookstreet and The Marshes are awarded Employee Choice Awards
  • West Ottawa Board of Trade awards Brookstreet with the "Business Excellence Award" for Customer Service
  • Ottawa Wedding Awards presents Brookstreet with the "People's Choice" award and The Marshes with "Best Reception Venue"
  • TripAdvisor recognizes Brookstreet and Perspectives Restaurant with a Certificate of Excellence
  • Amanda Chapman, Brookstreet's long-time partner and Styling Manager (housekeeping), is recognized as an Ottawa Tourism's Stars of the City finalist

  • Options Jazz Lounge named ‘Favourite Jazz Bar’ in the OttawaJazzScene.ca Favourites Poll
  • Perspectives Restaurant earns a TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence for the second year
  • Brookstreet hosts yet another record-breaking 12th Annual Lumière Charity Gala in support of the Ottawa Regional Cancer Foundation, raising an estimated $152,000.
  • Brookstreet is awarded the CAA/AAA 4-diamond rating for the 11th consecutive year
  • Brookstreet receives the VQA Restaurant Award of Excellence – Wine Country Ontario recognizes Ontario licensees that exhibit strong support of Ontario VQA wines and high professional standards in wine service

2013

  • Brookstreet is the Official Host Hotel for the Canadian National Women’s Hockey Team while they play in the IIHF Ice Hockey Women’s World Championship at Scotiabank Place from April 2-9
  • Brookstreet demonstrates national industry leadership and commitment to protecting the environment with a new 4 Green-Key Meetings rating from Key Global’s Green Key Meetings Program
  • Options Jazz Lounge is voted one of the Top 50 Restaurants in Canada by Vacay.ca and Perspectives Restaurant earns a TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence
  • Brookstreet hosts a record-breaking 11th Annual Lumière Charity Gala in support of the Ottawa Regional Cancer Foundation, raising a total of $82,000
  • For the 5th time Brookstreet is named Employees’ Choice Award Recipient as one of Ottawa’s top employers

2012

  • Brookstreet is the official host hotel for the NHL All-Star Game, played on Sunday, January 29 2012 at Scotiabank Place
  • The Brookstreet Cancer Supporters participated once again in the Relay For Life Ottawa West, raising $7,000 for Cancer Research and winning the ‘Most Funds Raised, Corporate Team’ Award for the second consecutive year
  • Brookstreet hosts a record-breaking 10th Anniversary Lumière Charity Gala in support of the Ottawa Regional Cancer Foundation, raising a total of $74,000

2011

  • The Brookstreet Cancer Supporters participated in the Relay For Life Ottawa West event, raising over $31,600 for Cancer Research and winning the ‘Most Funds Raised, Corporate Team’ Award

2010

  • The Brookstreet Breast Supporters raise their total contributions to $129,000 for the Weekend to End Breast Cancer
  • Brookstreet is the official host hotel for the National Capital Show Jumping Tournaments for the third consecutive year
  • Brookstreet hosts a record-breaking 8th Annual Lumière Charity Gala in support of the Ottawa Sens Foundation, raising a total of $55,000

2009

  • Brookstreet is home of Team Canada and the official host hotel of the World Junior Hockey Championships organized by Hockey Canada, the official national governing body of ice hockey in Canada
  • Brookstreet’s 7th Annual Lumière Charity Gala raises $20,000 for the Sens Foundation
  • The Brookstreet Breast Supporters raise their total contributions to $100,000 for the Weekend to End Breast Cancer and win “Best Team Bra” at the event’s Third Annual Bra Contest

2008

  • Brookstreet is the official host hotel of the NHL Draft
  • Brookstreet is the Official Airshow Hotel for the Ottawa Air Show
  • The Brookstreet Breast Supporters raise over $60,000 for the Weekend to End Breast Cancer and win “Best Team Bra” at the event’s second annual bra contest
  • Brookstreet’s 6th Annual Lumière Gala raises $56,400 raised for The Mike Weir Foundation which will donate locally to CHEO
  • Brookstreet is the Official Host Hotel for the Kubota Cup and Capital Classic Horse Shows
  • General Manager Patrice Basille is recognized with the Pinnacle Canadian Hotelier of the Year Award
  • Brookstreet is the official host hotel for Skate Canada International. Skate Canada International is the second of six competitions in the annual ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating series. The other events take place in the United States, China, France, Russia and Japan

2007

  • Executive Vice-President and General Manager Patrice S. Basille is awarded Leader of the Year (Private Sector) by the Regroupement des Gens d’Affaires de l’Outaouais
  • Brookstreet is the official headquarter hotel for the NHL Stanley Cup Playoffs
  • Brookstreet’s 5th Annual Lumière Gala raises $31,500 for the University of Ottawa Heart Institute

2006

  • Brookstreet hosts the international Bilderberg meeting
  • Brookstreet’s 4th Annual Lumière Gala raises $33,000 for CHEO

2005

  • Brookstreet receives Ottawa Tourism’s New Company of the Year Award
  • European PGA-approved short course, MarchWood, opens in June
  • Brookstreet’s 3rd annual Lumière Gala raises $22,600 for the United Way

2004

  • Brookstreet’s Lumière Gala becomes an annual charity event. The 2nd annual Lumière Gala raises $33,994 for the National Ovarian Cancer Association

2003

  • Brookstreet opens in June and celebrates with its first Lumière Charity Gala
  • Brookstreet and Perspectives Restaurant achieve the CAA/AAA 4-diamond rating; a first in the history of the Canadian Automobile Association
