From Enquiry to “I Do”
how planning works
Nobody plans a wedding twice. Here is the whole sequence, in order, with the dates that actually matter marked — so you know what is being asked of you, and when, from the first email to the morning after.
Before You Book
Enquire. Tell us your date, roughly how many guests, and whether you are picturing indoors or out. Your Wedding Event Manager will confirm what is available and set out the food and beverage minimum for the spaces that fit.
Tour the property. See all seven spaces in one visit — the ballrooms, the Pavilion, and the two rooms at The Marshes. Most couples arrive certain and leave having changed their mind about something.
Confirm. Your agreement is signed and a deposit secures the date. Deposits are staged: one on signing, then further instalments six months and three months before the wedding, with a final pre-payment before the day itself. Your final invoice is issued afterward.
A cancellation schedule applies, stepping up as the date approaches. Your Event Manager will set it out in full at signing.
The Months Between
This is where your Event Manager earns their keep. They are your one point of contact — not a rotating team, not a general inbox — and they will pace the decisions so that none of them arrive all at once.
Book your spa appointments early. Bridal makeup trials and wedding-party bookings at Au Naturel Spa fill first.
Choose your suppliers. Our preferred vendor list covers photography, videography, florals, planning, hair and makeup, music, officiants, décor, sweets, transportation and stationery — people who know these rooms and have worked in them before.
Sort your audio-visual. Encore is on-site and will quote screens, projection and sound to your room directly at 613.722.8300.
Talk to your guests about rooms. Your wedding block is set up by your Event Manager at a preferred rate, and guests can book into it directly.
The Final Thirty Days
Your final details meeting sits inside this window. You and your Event Manager go through the event orders and the floor plan they have drawn, line by line, and after that there is very little left for you to do.
The Day Itself
Access to your spaces is not guaranteed before 11 a.m. on the day of the event unless arranged otherwise — earliest possible access is offered subject to availability, and your Event Manager will secure as much of the morning as the room allows. Your suppliers coordinate their load-in through them.
Then it is out of your hands, which is the point. Your Event Manager and our banquet team run the timeline you built together. You get to be a guest at your own wedding.
