Your Wedding Day

hour by hour

The best weddings feel unhurried, and that is almost never an accident. This is how a day unfolds here — from the quiet of the morning to the last table cleared — and where your Event Manager steps in at each point so that you don’t have to.

The Morning

Before any of it begins, there is Au Naturel Spa. A relaxation massage the day before. A facial, a manicure and pedicure for the wedding party. Bridal makeup application, with a trial beforehand so there are no surprises in the mirror. The full spa menu is at aunaturelspa.com, and appointments are best booked well ahead of the date.

The Ceremony

Under the white draping of the Outdoor Pavilion, on the course at The Marshes, or in a ballroom with the doors held closed until the moment arrives — the ceremony sets the shape of everything after it. A ceremony held at Brookstreet includes the classic white carpet aisle runner, and a reduced room rental applies when your reception is with us.

Your processional, your seating, your music and your officiant’s timing are all set out at the final details meeting 30 days before the day, so that on the morning itself nobody is making decisions. Access to your ceremony space on the day is arranged with your Event Manager; earliest access is offered subject to availability.

Cocktail Hour, Then Dinner

Three passed canapés of your choosing, portioned at three pieces per guest, carried through the room while the photographs are still happening. Your bar opens — host, ticket or cash, all on consumption. Wine poured by the glass or set on the tables, and if you would like a station rather than a tray, there are seventeen to choose from, from a board of five locally sourced cheeses to truffle pommes frites.

Then dinner: plated in three or four courses, or a buffet built from your own selections. Either way, your cake is cut and served by our team afterward, with freshly brewed Starbucks coffee and Teavana teas.

Late Night, and the Morning After

Somewhere after the speeches, the room gets hungry again. We recommend a late-night option for 75 to 80% of your guest list — poutine, sliders, a soft taco station, southern fried chicken bites, mac and cheese — timed to land when the dancing has been going long enough to need it.

Cold sparklers, smoke and fog are permitted for the send-off through an insured supplier, with 30 days’ notice. Rice, confetti, table sparkles and loose petals are not.

And then it is over, and nobody has to drive. Your guests are upstairs. You are in a complimentary upgraded room, with breakfast the next morning at Perspectives Restaurant — or Sunday brunch at Ironstone Grill, if you married at The Marshes.
