Ironstone has the ease of a golf clubhouse rather than the formality of a ballroom: warm materials, the course through the windows, and Ironstone black chairs at the tables. It suits couples who want their wedding to feel like an evening among friends — closer to a very good dinner party than a staged event.
It is also where Sunday brunch is served, which makes it the natural place to gather everyone the morning after.

The Space
The Garden Terrace is the softest of the seven spaces. Lower ceilings and a garden aspect give it an easy, unhurried quality — the kind of room where the afternoon slides into the evening without anyone noticing. It suits daytime and early-evening weddings, and it suits couples who want the setting to carry the décor rather than the other way around.
A note on the ceiling height: at 8.5 ft., the Garden Terrace is not the room for tall centrepieces, hanging installations or dramatic uplighting. It is the room for a low, generous table and a view. Your Event Manager and your florist will steer you well here.

This is the least decorated of our spaces and deliberately so. The course does the work: fairway, water, mature trees, and the Gatineau Hills somewhere past all of it. For couples who want their photographs to look like Ottawa in summer rather than like a room, there is nothing else here that comes close.

Pairing Your Ceremony With a Reception
The ceremony site works with either Marshes room. Marry on the course and move to the Garden Terrace for dinner at rounds of ten for 120 — a garden-facing room that matches the outdoor mood. Or move to Ironstone Grill, which seats the same 120 for dinner and holds up to 250 for a reception in a clubhouse setting.
If your list runs larger than the golf club can seat, you can still marry here and bring everyone back to a hotel ballroom for the evening. Your Event Manager will build the timeline and the shuttle around it.
