Is there parking available at Brookstreet?
Parking at Brookstreet is in our secure, climate controlled underground garage, which is located to the right of the hotel entrance. The first three hours are complimentary. After three hours it is billed at a rate of $2.50 plus taxes per hour to a maximum of $12.95 plus taxes per day. Overnight parking for hotel guests is available at the rate of $12.95 per night plus taxes which includes in and out privileges. Parking charges can be paid for at the Front Desk or by credit card at the yellow pay stop at the garage’s exit. (Please note that some of the outside parking at the front of the hotel belongs to the business park, not to Brookstreet).
Do you provide Electric Vehicle Charging onsite?
In our underground parking garage we have two ‘chargepoint+’ stations for electric vehicles (50 cents per hour for the first four hours, then $2.00 per hour afterwards) and two ‘Tesla’ charging stations (complimentary charging). No pre-booking is required, the charging stations are on a first come first served basis.
How can I access the internet?
Free high-speed WiFi is available in your guestroom and public areas of the hotel such as Options Jazz Lounge, B Café, and the hotel lobby area.
Can I bring my pet(s) to Brookstreet?
Brookstreet allows pets in the hotel. Upon check-in, we require a $250 refundable deposit for each pet in the room. We also ask you to sign a Pet Policy Waiver. A $25 per pet per night non-refundable fee is charged directly to your room. For longer term stays of more than five nights a $75 per pet per week week non-refundable fee is charged directly to your room.
Is Brookstreet a smoke free hotel?
Brookstreet is a smoke free hotel. A $200 cleaning fee will apply to any guests who smoke in their room or balcony.
I suffer from allergies, what are my options?
Brookstreet offers “Breathe Easy” guestrooms, which conform to strict hypoallergenic guidelines, featuring hypoallergenic bedding, air purifiers, and hypoallergenic room amenities. Additionally only green cleaning materials and products are used and in-room snacks are nut free. Please call 613.271.1800 or (toll-free) 1.888.826.2220 for details and to book.
What are the additional taxes and fees on my room reservation?
In addition to the 13% HST, there is Destination Marketing Fee (DMF) of 3%. The funds from this fee are transferred to Ottawa Tourism for the promotion of tourism within the Ottawa area.
What is Brookstreet’s cancellation policy?
Cancellations must be made prior to 4 pm on the day of arrival in order to avoid paying a cancellation penalty fee equivalent to one night’s room charge plus taxes. Packages including components in Au Naturel Spa, Perspectives Restaurant and/or the Marshes Golf Course must be cancelled 48 hours prior to arrival to avoid the cancellation penalty fee.
What time can I check in and by what time do I have to check out?
Check-in time is 4 pm on your arrival day and check-out time is noon on your departure day. We do our best to accommodate any requests for early arrivals and late departures. Please ask when making your reservation.
I’ll be arriving late, what should I do?
To hold your room for a late arrival (after 4 pm), please provide a credit card to guarantee your reservation.
What happens if I have to leave early?
We confirm the length of your stay upon check-in. If you do have to check out early, we require 24 hours advance notice, otherwise we apply an early departure fee equivalent to one night’s room plus taxes.
What mattresses are in the guestrooms, and could I purchase one?
You can enjoy the same luxurious sleep at home as you had at Brookstreet! Check out the Simmons Guest Purchase Plan and enter BRK8049 as your special pass for any mattress purchases. Should you be interested in the pillows or duvets, please email us.
Is there a Shuttle Service?
We provide a shuttle service for guests to the Canadian Tire Centre for events, concerts and hockey games as well as a weekend service to the Tanger Outlet Mall and the Kanata Centrum. We do not take reservations in advance for the shuttle, however upon arrival at Brookstreet you are able to sign up for it at Guest Services. Our shuttle service is available on a first come first served basis (there are limited spots available)
We also run a shuttle service Monday to Friday to the surrounding Kanata office building from 8am – 10am (leaving from the hotel entrance every 30min) and in the afternoon from 4pm – 6pm (The shuttle will circle the local offices every 30 mins, pick up will be outside the front entrance of the office building). The shuttle is available on a first come first served basis and cannot be reserved.
How can I buy a gift certificate?
We would be delighted to assist you in selecting the perfect, personalized gift. Choose from spa, dining, golf, overnight experiences or a dollar amount. At the hotel, you can buy gift certificates at the Front Desk or at Au Naturel Spa. Alternatively you can order online.
I’d like to pay for someone else’s stay…
Lucky person! Please complete the Credit Card Authorization Form and fax it back to the hotel at 613.271.3541 (fax number is also on the form).
What are my dining options at Brookstreet?
Brookstreet has several options to indulge your senses and satisfy your hunger: Perspectives Restaurant, relaxed Options Jazz Lounge featuring live music seven nights a week, B Café serving quick bites and proudly brewing Starbucks coffee or, if you feel like cocooning, our extensive in-room dining options.
What can I do to relax and have fun at Brookstreet?
Brookstreet has a variety of activities to relax and renew: Au Naturel Spa with 12 treatment rooms, Flex Fitness Studio, indoor and outdoor saltwater swimming pools, dry saunas, whirlpools, ZONE 525 games room, The Marshes championship golf course and Marchwood executive short course. We also offer our guests complimentary usage of our bicycles. Please inquire at Guest Services upon check-in.
When are the gym and the swimming pools open?
Flex Fitness Studio and the swimming pools are open 7 days a week. Please visit the Flex page for detailed opening times. The outdoor pool is open only during warmer months.
Can my toddler/baby use the pool?
Babies and toddlers are welcome to use the pools, we even have a special wading pool for them! However, swim diapers are required for children who are not toilet trained. Swim diapers can be purchased from Flex Fitness Studio for $1 each plus tax.
I forgot my swimsuit; could I purchase one at Brookstreet?
Disposable swimsuits can be purchased at Flex Fitness Studio for $15 each. They come in various sizing and in female and male styles. Made from high quality DuPont Tyvek fabric, our disposable swim-eeze swimsuits can be reused many times.
